AI Competency Coaching for High-Performing Professionals

"I am a philosopher-practitioner and protective guardian — someone who has spent four decades assembling the intellectual architecture to help high-performing individuals transform how they think, work, and live, before the approach that made them successful becomes the thing that breaks them."

The Synthesis

40+ years. 1,500+ books. 70+ mentors studied deeply. 12+ industries applied. 10,000+ hours of contemplative practice.

That's not a credential list — it's a description of the work. Every book was consumed to distill something. Every industry was a laboratory to test whether principles were universal or domain-specific. Every contemplative hour was time spent developing the inner architecture that makes the outer work sustainable.

The result is a methodology that doesn't exist anywhere else — because no one else has lived this particular path.

The Background

The synthesis draws from every domain Chip has inhabited:

Business and Strategy Built and operated businesses across specialty food distribution, construction, and professional services. Applied strategy at every level — micro (operations), meso (teams and scaling), macro (positioning and architecture). Knows the difference between universal principles and domain-specific tactics because he's tested them across incompatible contexts.

Martial Arts and Performance Twelve-plus years of martial arts instruction, managing a 250-student school, training alongside Olympic-track Taekwondo athletes. This is where the understanding of deliberate practice, transmission, and the coaching relationship was built — not from books, but from building human capability at scale.

Contemplative Practice Bruce Frantzis Taoist lineage. Qigong, meditation, energy work — 10,000+ hours of practice that is now being correlated with modern biomarkers. Not Eastern mysticism as flavor. Living architecture as laboratory.

Craft and Precision Guitar building. Blacksmithing. Precision machining. These aren't hobbies — they're laboratories for understanding mastery through hand-mind integration. The flow state research that guides cognitive architecture work was tested in forge and workshop first.

International Project Experience Project work across multiple countries. Pattern recognition from diverse professional and cultural contexts that no single-country practice can develop.

The synthesis principle: what survives testing across incompatible domains is universal. What doesn't is domain-specific. After enough domains, you can tell the difference instantly.

The Research

The CDPID framework — Collaborative Driven Progressive Intent Discovery — is published academic research establishing the theoretical foundation for understanding human-AI co-evolution as a developmental system.

Publication: SSRN Electronic Journal DOI: 10.2139/ssrn.6278438 Position: The developmental position — how the human-AI relationship itself grows, matures, and compounds value over time. The open territory that no existing framework (instrumental, strategic, or ethical) occupies.

The publication establishes practitioner-researcher identity. The coaching and community work are the applied practice of what the research formalizes.

The Methodology

There are fifteen human competencies that govern the quality of every AI interaction you will ever have. Most are never mentioned in any AI course, platform, or tutorial. They cannot be learned by prompting. And they compound — in whichever direction you develop them — across the arc of your entire working life.

The fifteen AI competencies are derived from published research in cognitive development, AI literacy, trust calibration, and human factors — including the UNESCO AI Competency Framework, the OECD AI Literacy Framework, the Cattell-Horn-Carroll model of cognitive abilities, and the Lee & See foundational research on human-automation trust. They are organized across eight developmental stages:

Stage 1 — Orientation: The dispositions that make every other competency sustainable under pressure.

Stage 2 — Epistemic Grounding: Evaluating knowledge quality — yours and AI's — before anything else begins.

Stage 3 — Basic Interaction: The interface between your thinking and AI's execution.

Stage 4 — Quality Control: Judgment, ethics, and the decisions AI cannot reliably make.

Stage 5 — Sustainable Practice: Workflow architecture and deliberate practice design that make improvement compound.

Stage 6 — Creative and Relational Extension: Maintaining authorship and multiplying capability through others.

Stage 7 — Cognitive Deepening: The meta-awareness and systems thinking that only become visible with experience.

Stage 8 — Integration Mastery: The governing meta-skill — active, ongoing calibration of where human judgment leads and where AI carries.

The coaching work identifies which specific competencies your situation requires most, then builds them deliberately — not teaching philosophy, but developing the specific capacities that govern what AI can actually do for you.

The Approach

Architecture over motivation. Motivation depletes. Willpower is finite. Systems persist. When the architecture is right, the right behaviors emerge naturally. When it's wrong, willpower becomes a permanent tax on structural misalignment.

Protection before performance. High performers have a specific blind spot: the approach that produced their success often contains the seeds of their undoing. AI competency coaching is as much about prevention as it is about optimization — specifically, the gradual, invisible atrophy of judgment, epistemic authority, and decision-making capacity that accumulates when AI use is tool-driven but not competency-driven.

Research-backed, not experience-only. Every claim in the methodology traces to evidence: Csikszentmihalyi on flow, Ericsson on deliberate practice, Attia on longevity, Kahneman on decision architecture. The 40+ years of synthesis isn't anecdote — it's applied science, tested across domains, refined through practice.

Ancient-modern integration. Taoist longevity practices correlated with contemporary biomarkers. Stoic principles applied to modern challenges. Ancient wisdom validated through contemporary measurement — not adopted as tradition, but tested as science.

The Strategy of Preeminence. Every interaction leaves you better — whether you become a client or not. This isn't positioning strategy. It's the operating system. If a conversation with Chip doesn't improve your situation in some meaningful way, the conversation has failed. That standard applies to every engagement.

The Coaching Work

Ten engagement options — from a fast-bounded audit to a full architecture partnership. Every engagement includes the CDPID and AI as Experiential Technology Playbook as the foundational grounding. Which additional competencies the engagement develops is determined at the Clarity Call.

Entry points range from the AI Business Audit (297) through team and organizational programs to the Elite Partnership (15,000–$25,000 / 6 months). There is a right engagement for exactly where you are now and what you're building toward.

Entry through a Clarity Call — a focused diagnostic conversation, not a sales presentation.

→ Book a Clarity Call — complimentary for warm leads and referrals; 147–297 for cold inbound.

What Clients Experience

"In a single strategy session, I recognized $9,400 I had been leaving on the table. The ROI exceeded the entire engagement cost before we even started the main work." — Frank Del Fiugo, Entrepreneur

"18 months of sustained value. I completed projects that had been dormant for 20 years. The frameworks didn't just help me get things done — they changed how I approach everything." — Clara Lazaroff, Executive

"ROI from the entire coaching package in the first session. What we uncovered in that initial conversation changed how I think about my business permanently." — Patrick Harrington, Business Owner

"A completely new way of approaching challenges and bridging gaps. This isn't like any coaching I've experienced — it's systematic, it's measurable, and it actually sticks." — James Comerford, CEO
